Kolar: Karnataka State Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar has rubbished the reports of the MLA Anand Singh submitting his resignation to him, at his residence in Bengaluru.
Speaking to media, here on Monday, July 1, in his Kolar residence, he said that nobody including MLA Anand Singh had met him at his residence to submit their respective resignations and clarified that he had no information on rebel leaders within the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition government.
Ramesh Kumar said, “I have not been contacted by any leader and I have been told that they have submitted their resignation letters to my personal assistant, of which, I am not aware.”
“Let ‘n’ numbers of leaders across the party line submit their resignation. It’s not at all my business”, he said.
To the repeated question if the news was true, he mocked and said, “News is not always truth and truth cannot be always news.”
Earlier, MLA Anand Singh had said that he had met Ramesh Kumar at his official residence in Bengaluru and submitted his resignation. Also, one of the Congress leaders had said that there were many to follow Anand Singh’s decision.
