Kolar: Based on the ‘Operation Lotus’ ruckus, yet another MLA from Kolar constituency, K Srinivasa Gowda from the Janata Dal (S) has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders had offered him Rs. 30 cr, three months back to join the BJP, here on Sunday, February 10.
Reacting on the audio tape released by Chief Minister Kumaraswamy on BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa, he said that Speaker Ramesh Kumar was a ‘clean’ politician and would not stoop down to such a level of making a business out of politics. It may be recalled that the Speaker's name was also drawn into the controversy.
He opined that it was unethical if BSY was involved in such a deal.
Alleging ‘Operation Lotus’ by the BJP leaders he said, “I too was offered a post of district in-charge minister along with cash of Rs. 30 cr. At first I was offered Rs. 5 cr by ex-MLA CP Yogeshwar, Yalahanka constituency MLA Vishwanath and MLA Ashwath Narayan in Bengaluru. Then I was assured of Rs. 25 cr.”
