Yakshagana artiste Eshwar Bhat dies in road accident

Kasargod: In a tragic accident, a Yakshagana artiste lost his life here on Saturday, November 3.

The deceased is identified as Eshwar Bhat (56).

According to reports the accident occurred at Kotur, which comes under the Adhur Police Station jurisdiction.

Sources say that a truck carrying a load of cement bags from Karnataka to Kasargod toppled at the Kotur turn, falling on Eshwar’s bike in the process. Eshwar was stuck under the load and was rescued by the locals. However, he died in the Kasargod General Hospital without responding to the treatment.

His mortal remains were handed over to his family after a post-mortem was conducted at the hospital.

A case has been registered at the Adhur Police Station in this regard.

Eshwar was an office bearer of the Yaksha Tunira Samprathisthana and worked as a medical representative.

It can be noted that Eshwar’s mother passed away just 20 days ago.
