Kasargod: World Food Safety Day was observed in Kasargod by the district level Integrated Child Development Services unit under the guidance of the Department of Women and Child Development on Friday, June 7.
A daylong seminar was held at the Kasargod District Collector’s office hall to mark the occasion.
Legislator N A Nellikkunnu inaugurated the event which was presided over by District Child Welfare Officer Dena Bharathan. District Programme Officer Kavitha Rani Ranjith and Women’s Welfare Officer A S Pramila were present among many others.
Manjeshwar circle Food Safety Officer P V Azad, Kanhangad circle Food Safety Officer Dr. Anusha John and Senior Agricultural Assistant P D Das delivered a lecture on food safety laws related to nutrition provided in ‘Anganwadis’, growing vegetables and many other topics.
