Kasargod: As some of the polling booths in Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency had reportedly witnessed fake voting, the United Democratic Front (UDF) party has urged the Returning Officer to look into the matter, here on Monday, April 29.

The UDF, in a letter, has alleged that the polling booths of Kalliasseri, Payanoor, Thrikaripur, Kanhangad assembly constituencies recorded 90 percent polling only because of fake voting.

The party has emphasised the need to check the web camera footages installed in several polling booths by the Election Commission. It has demanded creation of a separate team from the Centre and investigate the matter as well as conduct re-voting in 110 polling booths.

It has also warned of a legal battle if the demands are not adhered to.
