Kasargod: Two Youth Congress workers were killed in Kasargod by miscreants. The United Democratic Front (UDF) has called for a hartal in the district today, Monday, February 18.
The victims are Kripeesh and Sharat Lal. The Youth Congress- has blamed CPI(M) for the murders.
“We strongly condemn the heinous murder of Youth Congress workers Kripeesh and Sharath by CPM members in Kasargod, Kerala. When will CPM’s terror in Kerala stop? We offer our condolences and support to the grief-stricken families,” Youth Congress said in a statement on Twitter.
The assailants had come in a car and killed Kripesh, 24 and Sarath Lal, 29.
While Kripesh died on the spot, Sarath died on the way to the hospital in Mangalore.
The police said both of the deceased were involved in local political clashes in the region. An investigation is underway.
