Kasargod: Congress party candidate Rajmohan Unnithan who won the Lok Sabha election from Kasargod constituency took out a victory march starting from Kalliyode near Periya. Rajmohan Unnithan has been successful in defeating Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the constituency which was not defeated for three decades.
The victory march started from Kalliyode where the last rites of the murdered Youth Congress workers Kripesh and Sarath Lal was conducted. Kripesh and Sarath Lal, both hailing from Kalliyode, were murdered four months ago in the locality.
Rajmohan Unnithan who arrived at Kalliyode with the party workers showered flowers on Kripesh and Sharath Lal’s grave. He later, visited the residences of the deceased.
District Congress leaders and activists were present.
