Protest against KPSC rankings turns violent, cops fire water

Kasargod: The protest march to Deputy Commissioner’s by Youth League members against the alleged anomalies in the Kerala Public Service Commission rank list, turned violent and the police resorted to water cannons to control the situation.

When the protest which started from the Vidyanagar Government College reached the entrance of the DC’s office, the police stopped the agitators. The protestors tried to push the police barricades and the police controlled the mob using water cannons.

Youth League National Vice President Faizal Babu flagged off the protest and District President Ashraf Yedaneeru presided.
