Kasargod: The National Investigative Agency (NIA) confirmed here on Monday, April 29, that the two suspects namely Abubakar Siddique and Ahmed Arafat have no links with the Sri Lanka serial bomb blast case during Easter Sunday.
Yesterday, the NIA had raided both the suspects’ residences following a tip-off and seized mobile phones, important documents and issued a notice to them to be present today morning at NIA office, Kochi for interrogation.
Earlier, Siddique and Arafat were suspected to be the followers of the Lanka serial bomb blast mastermind Zahran Hashim.
It is learnt that the NIA officials had raided the duo’s residences at Palakkad and taken one suspect into custody.
