Udupi: Two wagons of a goods train derailed at the Udupi Railway Station, leading to the delay of other trains on the Mangaluru-Karwar route on Wednesday night.
A goods train which had arrived at the station two days ago, was returning to Verna when two of its wagons derailed on the main track at 7 pm. The track was cleared with the help of a locomotive by 8:30 pm.
Due to the clearance work, Karwar-Bengaluru Express which was scheduled to leave Udupi at 6:15 pm, left at 10:40 pm, the sources said.
