Udupi: The second convention of Tulunadu Garadis will be held on Tuesday, January 24, at Ammani Ramanna Shetty Sabhabhavan, Udupi.
Speaking with media persons at Diana Hotel hall, Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Convener of Thingale Pratistana, said that in the second convention the Bhutharadhane and future questions about the Daivya Aradhane will be discussed.
The convention will be inaugurated by B S Yeddyurappa, former chief minister of Karnataka and Sri Sri Laxmivaratheertha Swamiji of Shiroor Matt will bless the convention. Dr. Mohan Alva, President of Alva’s Educational Institutions, Mudubidri will preside over the convention.
MP Shobha Karandlje, Dr. G. Shankar Udupi, Naveenchandra D. Suvarna, Mangaluru; Prakash Shetty K, MD, M.R.J. Group, Bengaluru; Jayaram Banana, Sagar Rathna Hotels, Delhi; Krishna Y Shetty of Krishna Palace, Mumbai; Vakwadi Praveen Shetty of Fortune Hotels, Dubai and K M Shetty, V K Group of Companies, Mumbai among others will be present.
He said that in the valedictory function Dr. M Alva will preside over the convention and Dr. A Sridhar will deliver the keynote address. Pramod Madwaraj, Minister of Fisheries and Sports, N T Poojary, President of Billava Jagruthi Balaga, Mumbai and Kadandale Suresh Bhandary will be the guests of honour.
Felicitations programme will be held for Umesh Pambhada, Babu Parava, Narayana Pana, Lila Shedthi and Koraga Pana. When media persons asked whether this convention could be a political show of BJP prior to the election since most of the top leaders will be the guests, Hegde disagreed and said that Pramod, leader of Congress also will be participating.
