Udupi: Some religious matts have turned into recruiting boards for communal elements in the society, alleged media advisor to the state chief minister.
Youth and innocent people approach religious institutions and matts with devotion but some priests and religious heads brainwash them to embrace communal agenda of political parties, said Dinesh Amin Mattu. Those centres have turned into recruitment boards for communal elements, Mattu remarked strongly. Madigara Madara Chenniah Swamiji embraced BJP ideology after he came in touch with Pejawar seer, said Mattu justifying his statement.
Dinesh Amin Mattu made this remarks while taking part in a programme related to 75th anniversary of Quit India Movement. The district Congress and Sevadal had organised a public event and foot march in remembrance of the historic movement.
Religion is accorded “bygone era statuses for political gains by the heads of certain religious institutions,” Mattu added.
“We accept the philosophy of Vivekananda and Narayana Guru but it is impossible to follow the footsteps of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Amit Shah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat,” Mattu affirmed.
