Udupi: A young man and his daughter, who had gone missing under suspicious circumstances were found dead in a well near their house on August 31 morning.
The deceased Sharath (40), a resident of Badanidiyoor near Malpe and his daughter 8-year-old Kannika had gone missing since August 30. It is suspected that the father might have committed suicide killing the child by jumping into the well. However, the reasons for them taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
Sharath was earlier working in a Gulf Country and Kanika was studying in third standard in a nearby English Medium School. Since three years, Sharath had settled in his native place.
Malpe Police have registered a case.
