Karkala: Former chief minister and BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa visited a Dalit colony on Friday in Karkala and said that the funds for the construction of houses for the SC/ST community will be increased if his party was voted to power in the next Assembly elections.
BSY visited the Dalit colony in Nakre Manigudde. On the occasion, he said that education and health levels of everyone must be improved to live an independent life.
MLA Sunil Kumar said, “Congress government has failed to tackle severe drought in the state. In order to find a solution, BSY has started touring the state.” Issues at the Nakre area will be solved, he added.
MP Shobha Karandlaje, former MP Jayaprakash Hegde and other BJP leaders were present.
