Udupi: In a major twist to Udupi hotelier Bhasker Shetty murder case, another person has come into picture after one and half month of the sensational killing.
Bhasker Shetty murder: Forensic tests prove bones found were human-1As per sources, the investigating team has caught hold of Sathish Poojary from Nandalike, who was allegedly contacted by accused Niranjan Bhat. Poojary was asked by Bhat to confess to the murder in lieu of flat, money, car and other luxuries.

The CID team, which took up the case as a challenge has unearthed several details pertaining to case and Poojary was one of them. He lives in Mumbai and the CID team had brought him down to Udupi from Mumbai and produced before the court.

It is said that the murder confession deal was struck by Bhat over a mobile phone conversation. It is evident that the accused had smartly misled the police team which was investigating the case. Though a rod, which was reportedly used by Shetty’s son Navaneeth to bludgeon him was recovered by the police team, recently the CID team recovered another iron rod from another river after questioning Navaneeth. This incident has raised questions on the investigation of the police team.

Astrology comes to play

Bhat being an astrologer, advised his partners in crime to dispose off the mortal remains of Shetty into three different river or water sources so that the murderers are not haunted by him!

Further, they located flowing streams and rivulets, which remained flooded during the monsoon to dispose off the remains so that the disposed material gets washed away in the turbulent stream.
