Karkala: A teenager from Karkala emerged the No 1 badminton champion at “All India Sub-junior Ranking Tournament” held in Tiruvananthapuram.
Ayush Shetty, a student of Prakruthi National School at Kanthavara in Karkala emerged the champion at the tournament under below 13 years category held from September 18 to 24 in Chennai.
Addressing a press meet, Prakruthi School Director Ashok Kumar K said, “Ayush is trained under Mohith Kumar from Bengaluru. The whole school management is proud of him for his achievement. Ayush has won several state, district and taluk level tournaments and it is a proud moment for us.”
Ayush, a class 7 student, is the son of Ramaprakash and Shalmili from Murathangady in Sanoor village.
Prakruthi Group of Institutions Founder Christin Gerald Crasta, managament, principal and staff has lauded Ayush for this feat.
