Udupi: As a part of State government innovative programmes to encourage the competence of police force, a full-fledged police training school and a police public school will come up said District Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad.
According to SP Rajendra Prasad, the structure would come up on 35 acres of land in Uppur. The land has been identified and the same would be transferred into the police department shortly following which the work will begin for the training school, he said.
The SP said that the training programme would be for nine months. The State government’s objective is to establish a public school also, a school run by the police for students.
The government has released Rs 75 lakh for the purpose, he concluded.
