Udupi: A P Aboobaker Musliyar’s ‘Karnataka Yatra – A conference focusing on the theme on welfare ’ was organized by SSF on Wednesday October 29.
The event was inaugurated by Vinaykumar Sorake, Urban Development Minister, in the district. The Yatra is organized to mark the silver jubilee of Sunni Students Federation (SSF) and thousands of people participated in the conference.
In his inaugural speech Sorake said “Communal peace and harmony are the most essential thing human should have. Concern towards humankind and love will keep our country united’.
He added, “we have achieved rapid progress if inter-religious affairs are good. Karnataka has always been known for its peaceful living. We have the history of great people protecting religion without barriers”.
A P Aboobackar Musliyar, Sulthanul Ulama said that the yatra defines the objective of Islam, which is, to spread peace. “Islam gives importance to human values among the people. It is time to understand and spread the truth in the society” he averred.
Zaki P M Ibrahim Musliar Bekal, N K M Muhammed Shafi, Yatra Committee President, MSM Abdurashid Zaini Kamil SSF State Committee President, Sayyed Jalalludiin, B M Mumtaz Ali, Khatar Nazir Haji, U S Hanju, Atradi Abubakker, A K Sulaiman, M H B Muhammed and others were present.
As a part of the event, a peace rally was also held in the city from Triveni Circle to Kinnimulki.
