Kundapur:In a tragic incident one person died when a speeding lorry rammed into pedestrains near Koteshwar bypass road here on July 23.
Srinivas Bhat (60),a priest at Harihara temple in Kumbhashi from Gopady was killed on the spot.
The other two persons were injured seriously are Manasa (25), from Arasarabettu, Beejady and Ravindra a resident of Kalligudde in Vakwady.
The incident occurred when the lorry driver identified as Asif who was overtaking a vehicle lost control and rammed into the pedestrians and then hit the electric pole.
Asif was returning from Kotekar after unloading rice bags at a Godown.
Ravindra who was injured in the incident was admitted in the nearby hospital and Manasa has been admitted to the Manipal hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur police station.
