Udupi: Even after a week since 14-year old Ishika Shetty went missing, the Udupi city police are still tracing her whereabouts. Meanwhile, district-in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake on Saturday promised to solve the case at the earliest.
Earlier, former Union minister Oscar Fernandes, MLA Pramod Madwaraj MLA along with Sorake visited the Kunjibettu Sharada Residential school of Ishika Shetty, from where she went missing recently.
P. Rajendra Prasad, Superintendent of Police said, “A team has gone to Mumbai to trace the girl, in addition to it, we have extended our search in Bengaluru, Hubbali and Goa. The letter which is reportedly written by Ishika to television actor Faisal Khan has been received by him, he said.
According to the letter, he said that the girl had expressed her affection to the television actor and the winner of dance reality show. Ishika must be in Mumbai as she wanted to be a child artiste in films, he said.
