Udupi: One person died and three others sustained grievous injuries as a went out of control here at the Tenka Yermal here on Monday, May 4.
The deceased has been identified as Shekhar Shetty (45), a resident of Kaup. He was working as a cook in Mangaluru. According to sources, he was riding his bicycle when the car knocked him down. He was rushed to a hospital but the doctors pronounced him brought dead.
Apparently the car driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the divider. He then hit the bicycle and also a coconut tree.
Three persons in the car also have suffered injuries. Padubidri police have registered a case.
