Udupi: The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday, May 4, 2015 inaugurated a sophisticated, special research center of Mangalore University at Belapu at a cost of Rs. 141.38 crore. The centre is built on 20 acres of land.
Addressing the public, the CM said that “the state government has given more importance to quality of education than just education”.
Under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), Rs 15 crore has been released for the center. The center would promote basic sciences and also various activities for the benefit of human kind. Besides, the center would also take up research on environment and natural resources in coastal Karnataka, he added.
He further said that the real development of the country or a state is completely dependent on the standard of education. Education creates awareness in the society. Through education social and economic empowerment is possible, he said.
He said parents should educate their child. They should not compromise with it. We are living in a developing country and more social reformation is possible only through the education, which is the demand of our society.
Education is the right of every child and government must try its maximum to motivate education for all. “Our government dreams to a healthy society through better and quality education.
