Udupi: “The next target will be to build toilets around the district for every household. An amount of Rs.12, 000 will be allocated to all the houses, announced EO of Taluk Panchayath Rajendra Bekal on Friday, November 27.
He added that earlier the aid was just Rs.3000 however now the government has extended it to Rs. 12,000 per construction, and still 2375 toilets are pending in the district, he informed.
He said Avarse, Vaddarse, Nalkuru and Perduru villages still have houses without toilets. Awareness among people is important, we will accomplish our target of toilets for each and every household, he added.
On the occasion Veronica Cornelio, TP Member was facilitated for being selected as the chairperson of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited.
