Kundapur: An engineering student ended her by life by jumping into a well on Monday, November 16.
The deceased is identified as Amitha (18), hailing from Janata Colony in Shankaranarayana. She was studying in Bantwal.
It is reported that as Amitha had holiday on Saturday, she had arrived to her house in Shankaranarayana. On Monday morning, when her parents came to wake her up, she was not to be found in the house. Her body was later found floating in a well in the vicinity.
According to sources, Amitha did not want to pursue engineering. Academic pressure is said to be the reason for her to take such an extreme step.
Shankaranarayana police have registered a case.
