Udupi: The Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank, S R Bansal launched a cleanliness drive at Udupi. He said Swacch Bharath Abhiyaan is the best tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
The CMD also said that the cleanliness drive should not be a one time task, instead it should be a continuous process. In Udupi, the bank would construct five toilets in schools.
He added there are as many as 2100 branches of the bank in the country.
Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister in-charge said that NGOs should take the responsibility to delivering the government sponsored health care programmes.
CMC commissioner Srikanth Rao, DGM VN Hegde, AGM Rajendra Prasad, GM Laxminath Reddy Gurunath Rao, Natarajan and other were present.
