It’s official at last. The reel life ‘Mr & Mrs Ramachari’ are getting married. Yes, we are talking about Yash and Radhika Pandit. The numero uno actor and actress of Sandalwood are all set to tie knot this December.
They will be getting engaged in Goa on August 12. The news of their wedding is not surprising. It was speculated that Yash is dating Radhika since many years. However, the duo never came out in open. They always maintained that they are ‘good friends’. Yash never discussed his personal matter with media and said that he would reveal it when time is appropriate. Looks like the time is appropriate now.
The duo has however given us many hints. In a popular show, ‘Weekend with Ramesh’, when Radhika Pandit was the guest, she was asked how should her dream boy must be. She answered saying that her dream boy should have power like ‘Gaja'(Yash’s ‘Gajakeshari’ had released during that time), he should have ‘Moginna Manasu’ (name of the their first film together) and he should be Rocking (Yash is called Rocking Star). This statement created huge news in Gandhinagar.
Even in industry hit film ‘Mr & Mrs Ramachari’, Yash is seen saying to Radhika that, “All people know we love each other, however we should not say it directly.” All these dialogues led to many speculations. However finally it has come to rest.
They were initially linked as they entered the industry at the same time. They worked together in a serial. Later they acted in ‘Moggina Manasu’, which was Radhika’s debut film. The media had linked them. However most of the people did not take it seriously as it is common in tinsel town to link people.
Yash entered the film industry in a supporting role in ‘Jambada Huduga’. He later made his debut as lead in ‘Rocky’. He acted in certain good films, however he was not getting the big commercial hit. He got his big hit in form of ‘Kirataka’. He got into top league of stars with ‘Googly’. There was no looking back after ‘Googly’ for Yash. All his films after ‘Googly’ opened to excellent response and also did great lifetime business. In 2014, his film ‘Mr & Mrs Ramachari’, which also starred his love Radhika Pandit released to record breaking opening. The film continued its success in long run and ended up being the industry hit of Sandalwood. He followed it up with ‘Masterpiece’, which broke all the opening records in Sandalwood. However the film could not collect as much as ‘Mr & Mrs Ramachari’. It ended with superhit tag.
Radhika entered the industry with ’18th Cross’. However her first film to release was ‘Moggina Manasu’. She became a star overnight. She won Filmfare award for her debut film. She was not seen as an arm candy for heroes and used to have substantial roles in films. She acted with top stars like Puneeth, Shivarajkumar and Ganesh, and also with newcomers like Dhruva Sarja and Sumanth. She has a great success ratio. Her biggest hit in her career is ‘Mr & Mrs Ramachari’. At present she is the number one heroine in Sandalwood.
Yash and Radhika have acted together in three films until now. The films are ‘Moggina Manasu’, ‘Drama’ and ‘Mr & Mrs Ramachari’. They are pairing up for the fourth time with ‘Santhu Straight Forward’, which will release later this year. All the three films have been huge hits, with every film exceeding the collections of their previous. So there are huge expectations on their fourth venture.
They will be joining the list of hi profile hero-heroine couple in Sandawood like Vishnuvardhan-Bharathi and Ambarihs-Sumalatha. All these got married when they were in prime stage of their career.
Radhika Pandit has not signed many films leading to speculation that she may quit acting after marriage. However nothing has been confirmed.
