Bengaluru: There are so many Kannadigas in Gulf. However hardly Kannada films get released there and even if they hit the silver screen, they fail to do good business. However, Rakshit Shetty's "Kirik Party" has done the impossible in Gulf. The film which released in Dubai during the last weekend and saw 20 plus screenings, has raked in Rs 38 Lakh in three days, which reportedly, is the first time ever a Kannada film has achieved.
The crew including Rakshit Shetty, director Rishab Shetty and actress Rashmika Mandanna, during its visit to the theatres in Abu Dhabi, was overwhelmed by the response.
The film will soon be released in Australia and later in the UK on January 21 and then in the USA during the first week of February.
The overseas records of "Rangi Taranga" could be broken by "Kirik Party".
