Bengaluru : Senior director TN Seetharam, known for his top-rated serials including “Mukha Mukhi”, “Manvantara” and “Mukhtha Muktha” is out with his third film, “Kaafi Thota”. The film starring Radhika Chetan, Samyuktha Hornad and Raghu Mukherjee has been cleared by the censors with ‘U’ certificate and is slated to release this week.
TN Seetharam has not been able to make a mark on big screen like he did on small screen. However, he is confident of “Kaafi Thota” and said that the film is ahead of times. It is a crime thriller which has Radhika Chethan and Samyukta Hornad in lead roles.
“The filmmaking style I have followed for decades has not changed but I did have to work more closely with technology this time. It is set in a lone house in a sprawling coffee estate. They say ‘a lot can happen over coffee’ and my film explores what happens to relationships when a crime takes place,” he says adding that he has been inspired by the new crop of young directors. “If I had to name a few there is D Sathyaprakash, Hemanth M Rao, Pawan Kumar, KM Chaitanya, Rama Reddy and Raj B Shetty. They dealt with unique subjects and came up with new kind of films. I am too old to compete with them, but I too had a unique story to present through Kaafi Thota,” TN Seetharam concludes.
