Popular music director Harikrishna owes his career to Darshan. It was Darshan, who gave him the chance. He has worked with Darshan in record number of films. Almost all films of Darshan have music compositions by Harikrishna. Darshan’s 48th and 49th film had music by Arjun Janya. However, for Darshan’s landmark 50th film “Kurukshetra”, Harikrishna has been roped in by the makers.
The movie, based on the epic Mahabharata, will have eight songs. This is the first time that Harikrishna is working on a period film. Initially, it was said that Hamsalekha was supposed to compose the music for the hyped project. However it looks like the makers wanted to play safe and signed Harikrishna, whose two compositions “Bombe Heluthaite” and “Alladsu Alladsu” have broken all records on YouTube in recent times.
“Kurukshetra” directed by Naganna and produced by Munirathna, will have Darshan playing Duryodhana and Ravichandran Krishna. The filmmakers are tight-lipped about the rest of the cast. The film will be launched on July 23, on the producer’s birthday.
