“Kurukshetra” was launched on a grand scale last week. The film, which is Darshan’s 50th film has many stars from Sandalwood. However the role of Bhima is being played by Hindi tele-serial actor, Danish Akhtar Saifi. Producer Muniratna, when asked about this, said that Danish was tall and his physique suited for Bhima’s role.
Muniratna said that he would have loved to cast either Raghav Uday or Anil Gowda in the role of Bhima. The duo tragically lost their lives during the filming of climax of “Maasthi Gudi.” Had the two actors survived the mishap, they would have gotten themselves a fantastic chance to act in “Kurukshetra”, said Muniratna.
The shooting of the film has already started. The film will be shot in one schedule. It is scheduled to release in January during the auspicious period of Sankranthi.
