Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Car festival was held on 5th day after the completion of Navarathri festivities today, October 5 at 8.05 am to coincide with the auspicious hour of “Shubha Tula Lagna”.
Scion of Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadutta Chamaraja Wodeyar, local legislator GT Deve Gowda and Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep were present on the occasion who jointly pulled the chariot to signal the beginning of car festival atop the hill.
At 5.30 am, Scion Yaduveer arrived at the temple accompanied by Rajmatha Pramodhadevi wearing traditional outfit meant for the occasion. They took part in various rituals from 6.14 am before drawing the chariot in the company of other invitees.
Expressing happiness over the conduct of Dasara this year, scion Yaduveer wished peace and prosperity to the people of the state in the days to come.
