Virajpet: A 10 day long festival ‘Bodunamme’ which began on April 14 festival at Bembebellur village to appease the local deity culminated on April 23.
Hundreds of people in different costumes danced to the musical tunes of local instruments. On a particular day villagers abstain from food during the annual festival.
Villagers throng the temple of the deity from different corners of the village during the time of the festival and strictly follow the rituals associated with the festivities.
