Chamrajnagara: There persons waiting for bus were rammed to death by a good vehicle on national highway 212 near Gundlupet in Chamaranagara district on Wednesday. Two others were injured and admitted to hospital.
A vegetable laden tempo which was coming to Mysore via Gundlupet hit the people waiting for a bus near a hospital around 5.45 pm. Three persons Rathnamma (38), Swamy 40 and Mahadevegowda (50) were killed on spot. Sangeetha and her father have miraculously escaped with injuries.
Gundlupet police said the vehicle which bears Tamil Nadu registration number was transporting vegetables to Mysore when the tragedy happened near Ashish hospital. The driver has ran away after the tragedy.
