Kushalnagar: Huttari festival will be observed with grandeur and traditional fervour in Kodagu on December 6.
Puthari means new paddy and Huttari is festival of harvest and getting the harvested paddy home.
The date was fixed in the presence of Ammangeri astrologer Shashikumar and 13 heads of the temple and devotees.
The Huttari celebrations will begin in the temple at 7.30 pm and ‘prasadam’will be distributed at 9.30 pm. Paddy will be taken from the temple to mark the beginning of the festival in the district.
