Bidar: Unidentified miscreants shot Hanumanth Lada (53) former member of the Bidar Zilla Panchayat near Ambedkar circle in Bidar on Wednesday.
Doctors at the District Hospital declared him as brought dead.
Eyewitness said that two miscreants in an auto shot at the victim from close range. Hanumanth, who was on a bike travelling collapsed in a pool of blood, while his pillion rider called for help.
Hanumanth Lada was facing criminal charges. He was also involved in a family feud. His sister was killed in a shoot-out last year and police had arrested his nephew for the crime.
