Saudi Arabia: In a heart-wrenching incident three Indian kids lost their lives in a defunct swimming pool in Dammam on Monday evening.

The deceased have been identified as siblings- Sahufan (5) and Shamas (7) and their friend Hart (6). While Shamas and Shaufan are natives of Karunagappally in Kerala, Hart is a native of Gujarat.

The deceased are students of Indian School Dammam, studying in LKG, Grade 3 and Grade 1 respectively. They were living in BCC Compound, Dammam.

The recent rains that battered the Middle Eastern province had filled the unused swimming pool with water and the youngest kids accidentally ran into the pool. While he struggled to stay afloat, his older brother and another child plunged into the water to rescue him. However, all the three landed in watery grave.

They were declared brought dead and their bodies have been kept in Al-Mana Hospital.
