Kanakapura : JD(S) leader and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy has said that he had contested from Chikkaballapura as per the orders of his father and JD(S) President HD Deve Gowda but did not flee from his home constituency fearing the Congress.
Speaking during election campaigning in favour of JD(S) candidate R Prabhakera Reddy here, he said “people are favouring the JD(S) both in Bangalore Rural and Chikkaballapura constituencies.” The JD(S) has to fight against money power in the elections and urged voters not to get lured by the offerings of political parties.
“Ramnagar district gave political re-birth to me and my father. We will not forget it for the rest of our lives. There is no question of fleeing Ramanagar. We will not rest until we put an end to the misdeeds of the DK brothers who were reigning with money and muscle power,” declared Kumaraswamy.
He said it was very much sure that the Third Front would emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha elections.
Kumaraswamy also conducted a road show in the town. Several JD(S) leaders including Narayana Gowda,former president of BDCC Bank, B Nagaraju, former TMC chief, Dalit leaders Chinnaswamy, Rajagopal, SDPI District President Sayyed Saleem and others participated in the rally.
