Channapattana : In a shocking incident, a half burnt body of a four year old child was found in the toilet of an Anganavadi centre at Doddamulur, on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway on Thursday April 17.
The Anganavadi is located adjacent to the famous Ambegalu Krishna Temple. Locals say there was none in the Anganavadi on Thursday as it was a holiday. Some point out that they had seen a man and a woman lurking suspiciously in the area. However, when thick smoke emanated from the Anganavadi centre building in the afternoon, people rushed to the spot and found the body of the child burning.
They immediately informed the Channapattana police who rushed to the spot.
The identity of the dead child is not yet known. There is no information regarding the reason that might have prompted the culprits to burn the child to death. Only a thorough investigation may reveal the facts.
