Mysore : A veteran congress leader and also a noted co-operative leader P Nagaraj (75) reportedly committed suicide inside his car on March 27, Thursday afternoon. His wrists were found slit using a blade and he was found on the driver’s seat.
A passerby who happened to see blood oozing out of the car informed the Nazarbad police station.
It is learnt, Nagaraj faced financial problem and even had a heart surgery last year. He was also diabetic and doctors had reportedly asked him to remove an injured finger. He was a close aid of the late chief ministers Gundu Rao and Devaraj Urs.
He was the director of Mysore City Cooperative Bank since four decades and was also the president of MDCC Bank and Janata Bazar.
