Strictly adhere to traffic rules: Commissioner M.A.Saleem

City Police Commissioner M.A. Saleem has  urged members of the public to strictly adhere to traffic  rules in order to avert  accidents which are  claiming  many lives, most of them youngsters.

He was presiding over the valedictory function of the Arts, Commerce and Science Students Forums of the JSS Arts, Commerce and Science College, on April 2, Wednesday. The Commissioner further said young lives, particularly of those who fail to adhere to traffic rules and wear helmets, are lost in   accidents. It is our duty to save precious lives who are the future of our nation, he said.

The Commissioner also stressed the need for creating an awareness among youngsters  on the importance of abiding by traffic regulations.

Devanur Shanker, Chief Engineer of  Karnataka Power Corporation released the college magazine. HM Sujatha,  Executive Engineer of  Transmission and Maintenance Division of CESC, Prof. BV Sambashivaiah, Chief  Executive of JSS College, Prof. MB Mallikarjuna Pandit, Principal, MS Venkatram, Sports Forum Convenor and others were on the dais.

Students presented a variety of cultural programmes on the occasion.
