Navi Mumbai International Film Festival will be screened jan end

Mumbai, January 14: A three day first edition of Navi Mumbai International Film Festival(NMIFF) will be held at the DY Patil Auditorium in Nerul from January 31 to February 2, 2014 .

A platform is provided to budding film makers with the concept of showcasing their talent and creavity, further to provide them global exposure.

Relatively, 40 movies across the globe will be screened in three days.

The jury will be headed by director and producer Marc Baschet, hails from france. Also, won an Oscar for few of his acclaimed films such as No Man’s Land and Heaven, Before the Rain, Rain of Life. Next is writer and director Imtiaz Hussain, a National award winner for films line Astitva and Parinda and Rohini Hattangadi. And, Indian actress, BAFTA winner Kasurba Gandhi.

Film entries for the festival will be segregated into three categories such as Student, Professional and Feature films and shorts, documentaries, animation, social awareness and music as types available to enter in students and professional categories.

The Student Shorts best film will be awarded the prize money of Rs. 20,000 with a trophy and Certificate. And, the best film of Professional Shorts is to be awarded with Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 1, 00,000, prize money for the best feature Film.
