Mangalore :Following a security alert from Central agencies, Mangalore Bajpe airport has been put on high alert.
Frisking of passengers and scanning of their baggage has been intensified as part of additional security measure, sources said.
All vehicles, including cargo trucks and special buses bringing passengers, are subjected to the security drill.
The alert had reportedly warned of terrorists attempting to hijack planes.
