Moodbidri : A polling station located in the Moodbidri TMC office, is expected to give a new experience to the voters. Literally, a red carpet welcome awaits the voters at this polling station. At the entrance of the booth is a pandal with the writing ‘Welcome to the Voter’
Drinking water arrangement too has been made for the voters and a red carpet is laid all long. There is also a help desk to assist the voters. A first aid counter is also set up nearby wiith the assistance of a private hospital and medical store.
Seating arrangements has also been made for as many as 50 voters who need not stand in a queue in the hot son.
A total of 1341 voters are expected to exercise their franchise in this polling station No. 59 in Moodbidri TMC.
It is learnt, the facilities have been arranged with the guidance of the election officials as per the directive of the Election Commission. TMC Chief Officer Rayappa says the polling station would indeed be a model polling station in all respects.
