Pillion rider succumbs to his injuries in Mallikatta accident

Mangalore: The pillion rider who was critically injured in an accident at Mallikatta succumbed to his injuries late night on Sunday April 20.

The bus operating on the Suratkal-Mangaladevi route had hit the bike after it proceeded from the Mallikatta bus stand. The impact of the collision was such that the rider was thrown off guard and fell on to the road.

While Manoj Nayak died on the spot even as locals tried to take him to a hospital Rakshith Shenoy who was admitted to hospital in a critical condition soon after the accident succumbed to his wounds.

Rakshith had completed his PU from St Aloysius PU College and was pursuing mechanical engineering at KPT.
