Bantwal :  Villagers of  Kayyur fourth ward in Manchi village of Bantwal taluk have threatened to boycott the upcoming elections  opposing the apathy of leaders and elected representatives towards the problems of their village.

The villagers allege that   the place has not benefitted from any government scheme  and that the roads are in deplorable state. They also complain that their several appeals and memoranda since the past 15 years have been a futile exercise.

On March 17, Monday, the villagers staged a protest under the aegis of the Kayyur Nagarika Hitharakshana Samithi and  threatened to boycott the elections.

Prominent citizens Shashidhar, Manoraj Shetty, Usman and all members of the Samithi participated in the protest.
