EVMs under high security at TA Pai School

Udupi: The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are   cosseted under tight security at TA Pai English Medium School. All EVMs from 8 Assembly sections of Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency have been brought from the de-mustering centers and kept in the counting centre, on Friday April 18.

The rooms were the EVMs are kept have been locked and sealed in the presence of the polling agents of all political parties.The room will be under the control of Central Paramilitary Force and the district police. The security personnel will  have a watch on every nook and corner of the building. CCTV cameras have been installed at all vital locations in the school. The entire building is a prohibited area for members of the public.

Barricades have been put at every needed place near the school and power connections to  all strong rooms are cut off to prevent fire.

The  seals of the strong rooms will be opened only on the day of counting of votes on May 16.
