Bantwal : The BJP staged a huge protest in front of the Bantwal town police station at B.C.Road on April 21, Monday demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible for the attacks on the Brahmarakootlu Toll Plaza staff.
Addressing the protestors, MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik alleged that there has been a complete breakdown of law and order machinery during the Congress regime in the state. He further accused the Congress of appeasing only one community and deplored the delay in the arrest of the assaulters.
Monappa Bhandari, MLC also spoke. The protestors even gheraoed the Bantwal Circle Inspector and demanded that the SP should meet them. Finally Additional SP Shivakumar arrived at the protest venue and assured the agitators that the accused including Hassainar would be arrested.
Sullia MLA S Angara and several others including ZP Member Santosh Kumar Rai, Ravindra Kambli, Sadananda Malli,Govind PRabhu, Ronal D’Souza and others participated in the protest.
