Abu Dhabi : World Bunts Day will be celebrated on April 25 as the 40th annual get-together of U.A.E. Bunts, an organisation of Bunt community members based in the U.A.E. The Abu Dhabi Armed Forces Club Auditorium will be the venue of the event. Dr Vidyavachaspathi Vishwa Santosha Bharatha Swamiji, the pontiff of Shree Barkur Mahasamsthanam in Udupi district, will inaugurate the programme under the presidentship of Dr. B.R. Shetty, chief patron of U.A.E. Bunts and a renowned entrepreneur.
On this occasion, well-known businessman and social worker who is also active in sports and religious fields will be conferred the Bunta Vibhushana Award for his outstanding service.
Special attraction : The Tulu comedy show ‘Bale Thelipale’ will be the special attraction wherein Prashamsa team Kaup, winners of last year’s Bale Thelipale’ event will entertain the gathering. Kusalda Birse Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Mervyn Shirva, Shraath Uchila and other team members will participate.
The cultural glory of Bunts will also be unveiled during the event. Cultural troupes of both the young and the old are expected to present a splendid cultural extravaganza.
Preparations for the mega event are underway under the leadership of Sarvottam Shetty, President of U.A.E/ Bunts. The organisers have requested the Bunt community members to participate in the even in their traditional attires.
