Karnataka Sangha Qatar Celebrates ‘World Environment Day’

Qatar: Karnataka Sangha Qatar, a frontline community aegis to ICC, Embassy of India celebrated ‘World Environmental Day’ by planting saplings here at Galfar Al Misnad Asphalt plant, Messaieed on June 13.

President Deepak shetty and General Secretary Mahesh Gowda escorted the chief guest Mr.Hemachandra, senior General Manager of Galfar, and Guest of honour Mr.Ravindran, Sr.Project Manager of Galfar to the Dias. As a symbolic of spreading Green, guests were welcomed with sapling pots by KSQ coordinators Sandesh Anand & Jawahar.

President Deepak shetty proposed welcome key note; meantime he raised his voice against ‘Global Warming’ and suggested to ‘go for Green’. Coordinator Muralidhar explained brief history & importance of ‘World Environment Day celebration’. Meanwhile chief guest Hemachandra spoke about Environment Day and applauded KSQ for its effort towards Green.

Jawahar proposed vote of Thanks. Subramanya Hebbagilu compered the whole day event. Large number of members took part in the program; even children also actively took part in the program. Useful species like Badam, Mango & Neem saplings were planted by members.

Tulukoota president Ravi Shetty, TKQ former president Ramachandra shetty, Bunts Qatar president Prakash Agila and Billava Sangha Qatar president Divakar Poojary were present on the occasion.
