Dubai : Shree Dr. Vidyavachaspathi Vishwa Santosha Bharathi Swamiji, Pontiff of the Shree Barkur Mahasamsthanam in Udupi district has arrived in Dubai for the inaugural of the 40th UAE Bunts Get-Together and World Bunts Day Programme to be held at Armed Forces Club Auditorium at Abu Dhabi on April 25 under the aegis of U.A.E. Bunts on April 25.
The Swamiji was accorded a warm welcome by U.A.E. Bunts Advisory Committee Members on his arrival at the Dubai International Airport.
The Swamiji who became the pontiff of the Barkur Mahasamsthanam at a young age, is a scholarly and well read person who has in-depth knowledge of Vedas, Upanishads, mythology, history, music and other subjects.
He has also presented his views in the electronic media including Akashavani, Door Darshan and other private TV channels.
The Barkur Mahasamsthanam seer who has also been honoured by the Siddaganga Mutt, Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala, Malali Mutt, Rambhapuri Peetha and other religious institutions, has also been bestowed with Abhinava Bhargava, Vidyabhushana, Adhyatmika Bhaskera, Abhinava Dhanvanthari and Sadhaka Ratna titles. He is also the first rank holder and gold medallist in Ayurveda Medicine course of Mysore University.
